The Position:
The Technical Officer - Adolescent and Youth, CSO Engagement and MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning) is located in UNFPA Bangladesh Office and is part of the Adolescents and Youth Unit, and reports to the Programme Analyst, Adolescents and Youth. The incumbent leads the implementation of the programme with CSOs on child marriage and leads monitoring, evaluation, research and learning functions of Global Programme to End Child Marriage in Bangladesh.
Job Purpose:
The Technical officer, Adolescents and Youth (AY/CSO engagement and MERL) substantively contributes to the effective management of UNFPA activities with CSOs, youth and women-led organizations. S/he provides substantive inputs to planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the various capacity and movement building events for and with CSOs, and facilitates the delivery of UNFPA’s programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation. S/he ensures and guides the appropriate application of systems and procedures. The Technical officer will work closely also with the other technical officers of AY, Gender, and M&E units in carrying out the adaptive and participatory approach to monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning outlined below.
