The Position:
The Programme Analyst, Adolescents and Youth- Gender and Child Marriage is located in UNFPA Bangladesh Dhaka office and is part of the Adolescents and Youth Unit, and reports to the Programme Specialist, Adolescents and Youth. The incumbent leads the AY Output 2 of the Country Programme and coordinates the implementation of the multisectoral project on the prevention of child marriage.
Job Purpose:
The Programme Analyst, Adolescents and Youth -Gender and Child Marriage substantively contributes to the effective management of UNFPA activities in the areas of Adolescents and Youth and Gender Equality. S/he analyses and assesses relevant political, social, and economic trends and provides substantive inputs to project formulation and evaluation, joint programming initiatives and national development frameworks. The Programme Analyst guides and facilitates the delivery of UNFPA’s programmes by monitoring results achieved during implementation. S/he ensures and guides the appropriate application of systems and procedures. The Programme Analyst will work closely also with the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Right, the Gender and the Population and Development Units as well as M&E Unit in carrying out the responsibilities outlined below.
