The Position:

The position is situated at Dhaka, UNFPA Bangladesh and reports to the Chief of PPR. In this role, the Information Management Officer (IMO) is expected to collaborate closely with the Population Planning and Research, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Humanitarian, Adolescents & Youth (A&Y), and Gender units. The role also involves collaboration with other United Nations agencies based in Dhaka.

Job Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Chief of the PPR and the overall guidance of the Deputy Representative of UNFPA Bangladesh, the Information Management Officer (IMO) is expected contribute to the work of PPR unit, including developing result frameworks and regularly tracking and reporting on SIS milestones, both quarterly and annually. Additionally, the IMO will provide technical support to the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS).

The IMO will also extend support across various units by engaging in activities such as conducting research, profiling beneficiaries, undertaking baseline studies, developing survey protocols, and creating data visualizations and infographics. S/he will assist the Humanitarian unit by contributing to data extraction, analysis, and visualization tasks, essential for effective humanitarian response. Furthermore, the IMO will be responsible for ensuring and guiding the proper application of systems and procedures, and will proactively develop enhancements as needed.
