The Position:
The Technical Officer- Adolescents and Youth will be working at the Ministry of Education and reports to the Programme Analyst – AY with overall guidance from the Chief of Adolescents and Youth Unit, UNFPA Bangladesh.
Job Purpose:
Comprehensive Sexuality Education referred to as Life Skills Education (LSE) help facilitate a smooth transition of adolescent and youth into adulthood (WHO, 2013). There is growing evidence that life skills are important determinants of social and economic success for youth. However, adolescents and youth in Bangladesh continue to face barriers to access to SRH-related information.
You would be responsible for:
The Technical Officer – Adolescents and Youth will, in the immediate term, support the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Youth and Sports in mainstreaming and overall implementation of Life Skills Education in Bangladesh and subsequently support the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and Department of Youth Development in any other projects/programmes implemented under the UNFPA umbrella.
