Under overall guidance of the Gender Unit Chief and direct supervision of the Technical Specialist-Gender, the Technical Officer-Gender will be engaged in the GBV component implementation of the development project in Cox’s Bazar. The incumbent will facilitate the project activities related to GBV in close collaboration with the Project implementing Partner (IP) by providing technical support to the latter for the implementation of the GBV prevention and response interventions, including the launch of SASA, GBV case management and psychosocial support. S/he will closely work with IP in the field to ensure quality implementation of the Project in relation to GBV prevention and response indicators and its appropriate reporting, as well as liaise with the SRHR and GBV team and GBV Sub Sector in Cox's Bazar Sub Office.
The Technical Officer-Gender will be based in Cox’s Bazar Sub Office, but managed by Country Office. S/he shall directly report to the Technical Specialist-Gender, based in Cox’s Bazar but managed by Country Office, UNFPA Bangladesh .
