The National FP officer will manage and supervise partners and other stakeholders to ensure timely quality implementation of family planning services among Rohingya refugees and host communities" including the creation of awareness, counselling and choice to aid voluntary decision making in spacing and limiting their family sizes. The National FP officer will support capacity building for government and non-government health care providers on family planning counselling and postpartum family planning methods. 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

The National Family Planning officer shall be based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The National Family Planning officer is part of the SRHR Team of the UNFPA Sub Office in Cox's Bazar. Under the overall supervision of the SRHR Team Lead, the incumbent directly reports to the SRH Programme and Midwifery Specialist in Cox’s Bazar.

Under the overall supervision of the SRHR Team Lead and immediate supervision of SRH Programme and Midwifery Specialist, the NFPO will work closely with government authorities, humanitarian agencies, civil society and local Counterparts for the effective provision of family planning to the Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox Bazar.
