We are proud to have supported the Government of Bangladesh in strengthening services for survivors of gender-based violence across all levels of the healthcare system in Cox’s Bazar district, including the Rohingya camps.
This was accomplished through the World Bank-funded Health and Gender Support Project.
But, behind the scenes, who were the individuals at the community level, whose tireless work went into the success of this effort?
This is the story our new publication ‘Strength Within, Strength Together’ tells. It brings to the forefront 15 individuals from diverse walks of life with a firm devotion to service and community.
They are healthcare professionals, caseworkers, religious leaders, teachers, theater artists, small business owners, parents, young couples, and adolescent boys and girls.
They are our allies and stewards on the ground, representing the best of us, and building a system of care that counts and uplifts everyone.
Thanks to the contributions of these visionaries and many others like them, survivors can now access life-saving support at district, upazila, union, and community levels of Cox’s Bazar.
