Asa Torkelsson, UNFPA Country Representative for Bangladesh, visited the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar. She met with women in the Women Friendly Space, and visited one of the UNFPA-supported health facilities where women can access sexual and reproductive health care services.

In the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, young people have few opportunities to have fun and express themselves. That's why the United Nations Population Fund in Bangladesh put together an art competition for young people living in the camp, as well as in the surrounding communities. Hundreds of young people participated, and the winners were given prizes by the UN Youth Envoy, Jayathma Wickramanayake.

Rohingya refugee camps and settlements are in remote areas on hilly, dusty terrain which makes it nearly impossible for pregnant women to reach health facilities in time. UNFPA is reaching them with Tom Tom Ambulances during medical emergencies.
