The Finance Analyst supervises and leads the staff of the Finance Unit. The Finance Analyst works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and project teams in the CO and Implementing Partners ensuring successful CO performance in Finance.
You would be responsible for:
Continuous analysis and monitoring of the financial situation, presentation of forecasts for development and management projects.
- Proper planning and expenditure tracking of available resources, ensuring financial policy compliance, establishing reporting structures, advising when deviations from regulations may be required and proposing alternative solutions to meet outcomes.
- Facilitate the achievement of the objectives of UNFPA by providing sound and timely advice to the Senior Management on matters pertaining to financial resources.
- Managing negotiations following established procedures, regarding review and awarding of contracts.
- Coaches and mentors the operations team to improve their knowledge, skills and the quality of work.
